devlog I - the post-launch devlog


hi everyone! aaaaaaaaaa!! i’m so glad that you’re all enjoying Lesbian Vampire Simulator!!

it’s so cool to see people checking it out, here on Itch, but also through Twitter and the dev server on Discord! we’re nearly at a 100 downloads for the game - it’s been increasing especially now that it’s being listed in the search results. i couldn’t be happier with that!!

i wanted to give a quick update on what’s currently planned for the game - it’s my first full release, so there’s bound to be some things here and there that aren’t perfect, or that people might have problems with. i’m thinking of adding a bunch of content updates to the game in the future, but first, the base game needs to work as good as it can. right now it’s important to get as many bugfixes and code improvements in as possible, so that v1.1 can be released quickly - hopefully somewhere next week!

some stuff that’s already being worked on for v1.1:

  • there’s some unused junk in the code causing lots of math to be mathed every single frame, making the gameplay a bit jittery (has been fixed already!)
  • you can win a level whilst running out of blood, resulting in a softlock because the game will now infinitely deplete your blood in the score counter
  • those dreaded grass spikes!! they blend in with the rest of the scenery too much, so the sprite is going to need an update :)
